The 2022 retro version of the Nike Air Max Penny 1 faithfully captures the original design in the classic Orlando Magic color scheme. This shoe, initially introduced in 1995 and created by Eric Avar, served as the first signature model for Anfernee 'Penny' Hardaway. The upper is constructed from black nubuck, and it features a distinctive sculpted Phylon wing that extends up the lateral side of the shoe, showcasing a jeweled blue Swoosh. To ensure comfortable cushioning, the Penny 1 incorporates a Phylon midsole and a generously sized Max Air unit in the heel. Additional noteworthy details include a pinstripe tongue inspired by the Magic's jerseys and an embroidered 1 Cent logo on the rear heel.
